OneCarNow! 🇲🇽 raised a $1.1 Million seed round to provide car subscriptions to bank-ignored gig workers.
Finanzero 🇧🇷 raised a $4 Million “Venture Round” co-led by Swedish investors VEF 🇸🇪, Dunross & Co 🇸🇪, Atlant Fonder 🇸🇪, and Webrock Ventures 🇸🇪. This is Finanzero’s most recent funding since a previous $7M April 2021 “Venture Round” and $11M April 2019 Series B. Finanzero operates an online marketplace that operates as a consumer loan broker enabling users to select banks that offer low-interest loans.
Naya Homes 🇲🇽 raised a $5 Million Seed Round led by Flybridge 🇺🇸 to redefine the short-term and vacation rental experience for homeowners in Latin America.
Bia Energy 🇲🇽 raised a $6 Million pre-seed round led by Canary 🇧🇷 from 8VC 🇺🇸, Marathon Ventures 🇨🇴, MatterScale Ventures 🇺🇸, Nazca 🇪🇸, Opera 🇨🇴, and Global Founders Capital 🇩🇪, to allow homes and businesses to save on their electric bills with intelligent consumption data through a Saas subscription model associated with proprietary in-building hardware.
Mudafy 🇲🇽 raised a $10 Million Series A led by Founders Fund 🇺🇸 & Y Combinator 🇺🇸 , with funding from Soma Capital 🇺🇸 to fix Latin America’s “broken” real estate processes.
International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group 🌎, is providing a financing package of $50 million to Banco BV 🇧🇷 the seventh largest bank in Brazil and operates in the wholesale, retail, and asset management divisions to support the bank’s climate-smart vehicle loan portfolio in Brazil. The project aims to widen access to finance for the purchase of these vehicles and help strengthen the country’s climate finance market.
M&A Activity
VINCI Airports, who manages more than 50 airports in France, Portugal, Cambodia, Chile, Japan, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Costa Rica, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Serbia, acquired a 29.99% Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (NASDAQ: OMAB), who manages 13 airports in the central and northern states of Mexico, for $815 Million.
